Your baby’s growing steadily, gaining about a quarter of a pound since last week, when she was just over a pound. Since she’s almost a foot long, that makes for a pretty lean figure, but her body is filling out proportionally. Your baby’s skin is thin, translucent, and wrinkled, her brain is growing rapidly, and her taste buds may be working now. Her lungs are developing “branches” of the respiratory “tree” and cells that produce surfactant, a substance that helps the air sacs inflate easily.
Your baby can hear more and more now, and you may even notice her startle at loud, sudden noises. But she’s probably getting used to the regular noises she hears around the house, such as your dog barking or the roar of a vacuum cleaner. Many new parents are surprised by how unfazed their newborns seem by sounds like these, but if you think about it, they’ve had months to get accustomed to them.
That is sooo cool now isn’t it?? She’s gonna be 25 weeks tomorrow!! I am officially 6 months preggy!! Well, give and take a few days. But still, I have been pregnant for half a year! Wow… time really flies… I’m in my last trimester officially! Yeay!! But with it comes that nagging thought… 3 more months to go!! Just 3 more! From the ticker, it says that she will double her length and triple her weight from now till birth! Kiddo has loads more growing to do… and I am starting to get suspicious if she will have enough space.. she is 1kg by now.. my goodness that’s a lot to be in my tummy hehehe and she doesn’t seem to like her space being invaded. That is whenever anyone presses my tummy or Daddy puts his head weight down on her, she will definitely kick and push back! Poor baby, space must be limited in there.. and she still needs to double her length!
Kiddo responses to sounds a lot more now… Especially sensitive to Daddy’s voice. When Daddy calls out to kiddo near and loud enough, she will give a startle and a kick or a punch! That is so much fun to watch and feel.. I play her more music now, just that I don’t use the headphones much.. perhaps I shall huh.. trying to compile a classical music CD for the car and perhaps some nasyid too. 
She is still pretty much active.. I read in books that this is the most space she will ever have being fully developed, by the 28th to 30th week it will start to cramp up! So kiddo’s definitely enjoying her freedom right now, somersaulting to her heart’s content. Wow my tummy still has a long way to grow too! I’m beginning to become aware of kiddo hiccuping too hehe poor baby she could be having the hiccups for up to half hour at times.. though I read that hiccups don’t cause as much discomfort in babies as it does in adults, but the thought is still, soo kesian! Oh well better not be too paranoid, she is soo cute when she hiccups hehehe.
