3 months and 2 weeks

My my it’s been almost a month!!!!! I really am so bad at this!!! Things has been really hectic as both of kiddo’s mommy and daddy has been busy at work, going here and there and all…. let’s go to her development now…

Last checkup: 3rd August 2007

Weight: 5.75kg.. not yet reached 6kg as I initially thought!

Height: 66cm!! My my that’s long!

Ayra has been outgrowing her clothes faster than we could buy them!! Her 3-6 months clothes are fitting her nicely now.. soon enough I’d have to get 6-9 months ones at the rate she’s growing! I am a bit sad initially that she only gained 500 grams since the last month, but at least she is gaining weight right.. and is still healthy and thriving.. her height is growing faster than her weight! hehehehe she still looks pretty much chubby anyways…

I have been busy finding toys for Ayra.. and also getting her floats and now on the lookout for swimsuits and swim diapers coz I wanna tame her with the water! She loves bathing now, doesn’t make noise even when her hair is wet (well, most of the time anyways) and kicks excitedly in the tub! Yeay! I guess that (finally) makes her a water baby, and we shall take that further when we take her swimming for the first time! She hasn’t grabbed toys yet, but she has on a few occasions batted at them, and the things she loves to grab now are our clothes when we carry her, my hair, her own hair and oh my clothes again; especially during feeding time. She has also acquired the knowledge to turn her head with the nips in her mouth!!! Ouch!! Feeding can be really painful esp when she thinks to turn and look at something else, and she will even grin at me after she does her pulling the nips trick hahahaha naughty naughty girl.

I bought her some toys, especially those L.amaze ones, I just love that brand. I’d have to admit though, I buy them based on what I would like to play with instead of what the lil kiddo wants hehehehe. Hope I made a good choice huh. I wanted to start her early on the toys, wanna get her off to the right start and all, and ohh I have been busy browsing the net for the best toys for 3-6 months old’s development! Talk about excitement hehehehe.

She is still making the cute sounds, but pretty much selective now.. there are days when she will just babble on and on, and there are days that she prefers to just keep quiet and gaze around.. she is still generous on the smiles and is generally a happy baby, lest she didn’t get to sleep. Which, as a matter of fact; is almost becoming a problem. The lil girl just won’t sleep during the day!! She sleeps for about half an hour at a time and by the time we get home from work, she is one cranky baby! And we didn’t get much time to play with her as she is already tired and wants to be put down to sleep :( Must be something wrong with the way the maid puts her to sleep that she doesn’t like; but what can I do…..

She can almost almost hold her head up straight for good now.. She doesn’t want to lean down on us much more and I’m sure pretty soon she’ll stop wanting to munch on our shoulders and holding her head up is much more fun hahahaha. She loves the baby carrier, when we put her facing out and she can watch all the happenings around. She can stay that way for a few hours before finally crying and it’s usually because she’s hungry or tired and wants to sleep.

One day while I was away, my mom said that kiddo is able to go sideways from a lying-down-on-her-back position; then slowly she turned more till she is on her tummy and lifted her head up triumphantly!!! That’s my girl!!! Though I haven’t seen her do it yet, boy am I proud hahaha. I am sure she can do it anytime she wants but the girl just has her own mood and time for things so we are not pushing her…

On the poo part, we just resigned to the fact that she doesn’t poo everyday… she just takes her own time to do business and as long as she is happy and healthy, that’s fine with me!

Sleep patterns, she pretty much still sleeps 5-7 hours at a stretch at night; and the time she wakes up depends on the time she goes to sleep. We don’t impose a strict routine for her to follow; again we are flexible and let her follow her own pace to get to sleep when she’s tired and play more when she’s not..

She had loads of formula while I was away :( and I tried to get her fully back on breastmilk after I come back and so far has been successful… well I think starting now, the most formula I will give her is once a day… That is ok right? God knows I am making a great big effort here!!! It’s just hard once u are away from ur baby…. well maybe no more after this, so… gambatte!!!

What else what else… I think that is all for now.. if I can think of any more, I shall update again! (I hope!!!)
